Multiplication Challenge

At Gaskell Primary we love learning our times tables. Children are able to earn bronze, silver and gold badges as they move through the times tables.

The Challenge:

• Starts from Y2 and goes up to Y6
• Each year group has an average expectation and specific tables to learn. Under the new curriculum, Y4 children onwards are expected to recall all multiplication/division facts for all tables 2-12
• There are Level 3 of times tables and children are able to earn badges once they can instantly recall them

Bronze – 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x

Silver – 3x, 4x, 6x, 8x

Gold – All times tables to 12x

Once completed GOLD – Move onto multiplying 10, 100 & 1000 and decimals. Make sure you practise with your child at home so they can earn a badge!
