Catch-Up Premium
In June 2020 the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus (COVID19). This is especially important for the most vulnerable pupils and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds who we know have been most affected.
At Gaskell Community Primary School we have a ‘no child left behind approach’ and we are passionate that all children reach their full potential while at our school. We have been provided with one-off universal catch up premium funding from the government to support the children’s education during this and the last academic year (2020 – 2021 / 2021 – 2022). It will be used systematically and effectively to support all pupils in their effort to catch up any lost learning, due to Covid19. This will ensure that we provide children with the opportunity to meet the curriculum expectations for this and the next academic year (2021 – 2022 / 2022 – 2023).
To find out the details of how we plan to utilise this funding to support all of our children, please see the document below.
